I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed reading through the last two years of your life this morning. The “Tale of Cliff” was painful but incredibly insightful and honest and too close to home at some points. I hate to say it but the one comic that made me laugh out loud until I cried was the “I dont’ know what happened!” intestines-move-over-corset comic. It just really tickled my funny bone. It was also fascinating to watch your illustration style develop, I really love your background color washes as seen in the New York trip and the color work in the TCAF set. I found your comic through your Erika Moen tag on your Facebook comic entry (the interweb, you just never know how people are going to find you!). Erika and I first met because she wanted to model for me (I’m a photographer), in turn she became my gateway drug into the world of webcomics and basically turned me into a webcomic stalker. You have a new fan, perhaps I’ll get to meet you if you make it to Stumptown. Thank you for being honest in your story telling, even though I want to shake some sense into you sometimes, and letting us strangers share some time with you!

Wow – Elisa, thank you so much for letting me know how you feel about the comic… I’m a little overwhelmed… wow… Thanks, thank you so much.

How stalkery is it that I already know who YOU are? I’ve been eyeing your beautiful octopus-covered Erikas – fantastic photography, just beautiful.

I hope to get to Stumptown at some point, unfortunately it’s right after MoCCA, or another American show & us Canadian cartoonists couldn’t swing it this year. :c

Thanks again Elisa, you have no idea how important it is to hear feedback about the comic… to know that I’m connecting, that people resonate… it’s valuable and worthwhile.
