Screen Shot 2013-06-08 at 2.56.00 PMToday we talk about marketing for the “Pretty Pictures” niche of the art world. This artist is more “traditional” in that they have a studio practice and are primarily looking for gallery representation, but aren’t necessarily engaged in the current dialogue or movement of contemporary art.

Marketing a business plan for “Pretty Pictures” requires a different set of practices than “The Academics” and “The Merch” artists.

We’re looking for Eyeballs and Accolades.

Eyeballs & Accolades

To sum up – the “Pretty Pictures” artist wants to maximize exposure and collect awards for their art.

Join groups and shows – especially those that are juried.
