I don’t paint anything, I just show you supplies and talk about the differences between artist quality vs. student quality and recommend what I’d choose if I was just starting out in watercolours.

I don’t believe that you need to start with best quality materials when you’re just learning.

It can be a bit of a deterrent; when everything you’re using is so expensive, we tend to get more attached to favourable outcomes.

Favourable outcomes are not what learning watercolours is about.

It’s about painting. Period.

Just using the paint and brushes and learning how they flow together.

That’s the most important thing.
